One!

It's been a CRAZY, busy few weeks--even so, I feel badly taking this long to post about our Claire's birthday.

Claire turned ONE on July 19th!

This girl.  She is my little sugar: so incredibly sweet.  She is very happy and has the most wonderful little smile. I swear every day she gets more beautiful, and those eyes...those eyes could cause some trouble down the road I think!

A few things about Claire at one year old:

18.5 pounds, 30 inches long

-A sweetheart, but she does make it known when she is put out or not happy about something.

-A great sleeper, although quite the early riser.

-Says "uh" (uh-oh), "hi", "what?" and "da-da".

-Loves to look at books, but has to be the one to hold the book!

-LOVES LOVES LOVES to eat (yes she is my daughter).  Holy smokes this girl just about out-eats us all.  She literally stuffs her face full of food at just about every meal--very entertaining (see video below).

-She is walking all over the place, but hasn't totally mastered the skill yet.

-Doesn't really favor any particular toys but is definitely fond of the laptop and Mom's iphone.

-Loves to be held and is a great cuddler!

-She is a thumb-sucker, and is becoming more and more so each day. At this point it is too cute to try to stop.

I could go on and on.  We are truly blessed to have this little girl in our family.
